East Pierce Fire to assist local scouts

May 21, 2014

Because of a high demand for education opportunities from scout groups trying to achieve badge requirements, East Pierce Fire and Rescue will host a Scout Night.

The program will be 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Friday, June 6, at the station headquarters in Bonney Lake, 18421 Veterans Memorial Drive.

East Pierce Fire invites all Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Campfire members within the district’s service area to attend.

Scouts will rotate through learning stations geared to several badge requirements, including home safety, basic first aid, home-escape planning, emergency preparedness, firefighter and paramedic careers and tools, and ropes and knots.

Pre-registration for the free program is required. To reserve space, contact Dina Sutherland at 253-863-1800.
