Last Wednesday, a tip to the Puyallup Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit about a 56-year-old man’s activity on the Internet resulted in his arrest on a charge of felony possession of child pornography. According to a police report, the MCU secured a Superior Court search warrant to enter the suspect’s residence. The suspect, John Graff, was taken into custody without incident, police said.
At the time of the arrest, investigators on the scene discovered more than 100,000 suspected child pornography images in Graff’s possession.
Graff is a Level 1 convicted sex offender and had been living in Puyallup.
On Thursday, Graff pleaded not guilty in Pierce County Superior Court to possessing more than 100,000 images of child pornography. Graff is charged with five counts of first-degree possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
