Tapestry Singers thank community for support

April 30, 2014

Our community-based choir, Tapestry Singers, hosted the annual Puyallup Valley Food Bank benefit concert March 23.

Tapestry would like to thank the community for its great support. Due to the generosity of our attendees and performing groups, the food bank received 328 pounds of food and $1,318 worth of monetary contributions.

Thanks also to food bank representative Bill Franklin for speaking at the concert, and the fabulous performing groups: Rainier Ringers, Kalles Junior High Honors Choir and chamber orchestra, Pandemonium Steel Drum Band, Puget Sound Revels and Cascade Foothills Chorale for lending their time and talents for all to enjoy.

Also invaluable was the contribution of United Methodist Church of Puyallup for the use of their wonderful church to hold the concert and refreshment venue afterwards.

We also appreciate the efforts in promoting the concert — the businesses that allowed posting of our notices as well as the Puyallup Herald and News Tribune for advertising the concert in their papers and on their websites.
