Music & Arts acquires Music Centers

March 12, 2014

Music Centers’ seven locations in the south Puget Sound have been acquired by Music & Arts, the nation’s largest school music company based in Frederick, Md.

The locations include sites in Puyallup and South Hill.

The national chain, with a 128 locations, specializes in the sale and rental of musical instruments, repairs and music lessons, especially for beginning students.

Music Centers, originally called Lakewood Music, opened in 1955 and changed its name after it expanded to serve the Puget Sound.
