February 12, 2014

The City of Puyallup received an award of excellence in the government agency category during the inaugural Puyallup River Film festival on Dec. 5 at the University of Washington-Tacoma campus.

The award was for a documentary of the city’s riparian planting program. It was filmed in collaboration with Pierce County TV and submitted by Joy Rodriguez, the city’s associate stormwater engineer.

The festival was presented by the Puyallup River Outreach Program and funded by the Russell Family Foundation.
