The city of Puyallup and the greater Pierce County area was pelted Friday morning with a dusting of snow.
Captain Scott Engle, spokesperson for the Puyallup Police Department, said there were a few fender benders but otherwise it was an uneventful morning.
Earlier this morning, Engle said the department closed Highlands Drive from Dunhill Lane to Shaw Road because of icy conditions and multiple spin outs.
"De-icer was applied," Engle said.
Engle said the roadway is now open again to travelers.
