Washington Healthplanfinder rolls into Pierce County-Tacoma

THE HERALDOctober 29, 2013

Washington Healthplanfinder, located at www.wahealthplanfinder.org, will be made available to the public in a mobile format from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. this Saturday, Nov. 2, at the Tacoma Mall's Eastern parking lot (facing Sears and JC Penney).

Washington Healthplanfinder is the online marketplace where individuals, families and small businesses can make side-by-side comparisons of new health insurance plans and choose the plan that fits their needs and budget.

On Saturday, Washington Healthplanfinder staff will be available to answer questions at the Mobile Enrollment Tour Stop.

This specially-outfitted trailer, complete with laptops connected to Washington Healthplanfinder, is traveling around Washington state.

At each stop, local in-person assisters help people without health insurance understand the new health plans and financial help that are now available.

At the mobile stop on Saturday, individuals and families without health insurance will be able to sign up for coverage.

According to Washington Healthplanfinder, individuals making up to $46,000 and families of four making up to $94,000 a year are eligible for financial help to lower the costs of their coverage.

Free and low-cost plans are available.
