Puyallup police arrest 23-year-old for burglary, outstanding warrants

The Puyallup Police Department placed under arrest a 23-year-old male for residential burglary and outstanding warrants on Thursday, Oct. 24.

The suspect was charged for residential burglary of a residence in the 400 block of 3rd St. N.W.

A resident reported the residential burglary, observing a male suspect in the backyard of her neighbor's house. The male suspect walked away carrying a case.

One of the items taken in the burglary was believed to be a rifle and ammunition. The police tracked the suspect to his residence in the 300 block of 5th Ave. N.W.

After repeated attempts to contact the suspect with no success, the Metro SWAT responded to the scene and deployed a chemical agent to remove the suspect from the home.

There were no injuries to anyone at any time during the incident, according to an incident report released by the police.

The male suspect was booked into the Pierce County Jail.
