From September through December, the South Hill Pierce County Library will keep children laughing and learning with free movies and book clubs.
At 4 p.m. on Wednesdays, Sept. 11, Oct. 9, Nov. 27 and Dec. 18, children can drop in for an afternoon movie.
A Kids' Book Club for grades 1-3 is available from 3:45 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays.
The following books for this club are Sept. 10: "A Fine, Fine School" by Sharon Creech; Oct. 8: "The Legend of Spud Murphy" by Eoin Colfer; and Nov. 5: "The Mary Celeste" by Jane Yolen.
A Tweens' Book Club for grades 4-6 is available from 4 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays.
The following books for this club are Sept. 17: "Esperanza Rising" by Pam Munoz Ryan; Oct. 15: "The Homework Machine" by Dan Gutman; and Nov. 12: "The BFG" by Roald Dahl.
