Medical explorers’ spaghetti feed March 20
The Good Samaritan Medical Explorers club is hosting “A Night in Italy,” its 10th annual spaghetti feed from 4-8 p.m., Saturday, March 20, at Puyallup’s United Methodist Church, 1919 W. Pioneer.

Preschool mothers holding field trip
Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) of Christ Community Baptist Church on South Hill will be taking a field trip to the Tacoma Art Museum beginning at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 18. Members of the community are invited to join in.
Kids of all ages can check out “The Secret Language of Animals,” a family-friendly devotion to our furry, feathery and slimy friends, as well as the exhibition, “The Movement of Impressionism: Europe, America and the Northwest.”

South Hill preschool hosting open house
The All Saints Theatrical Repertoire Association (ASTRA) will be casting for its summer 2010 production of “Fiddler on the Roof” on March 13-14.
Auditions will take place at the All Saints School social hall, 504 Second St. S.W. in Puyallup. Audition times on March 13 are at 6 p.m. for children and 7 p.m. for adults. On March 14, the times are 1 p.m. for children and 2 p.m. for adults.

South Hill preschool hosting open house
South Hill Cooperative Preschool is hosting an open house from 2-5 p.m., Wednesday, March 3.
The preschool is located at the rear of Berean Baptist Church, 9702 128th St. E. Parents are invited to visit the classroom and talk with currently-enrolled parents and students. The school is managed by parents and is open to children ages 3 to 5. Applications are available for enrollment in the 2010-2011 school year.

Pierce College offering summer tour of Japan
Pierce College Japanese language instructor Kazuko Howard will be leading a two-and-a-half-week tour of Japan from June 20 through July 8.
The tour will focus on aspects of Japanese language, culture and contemporary life and also consists of classroom instruction and visits to sites in Tokyo. Participants earn five credits at Pierce College.

South Hill Mall holding free concert series
South Hill Mall in Puyallup is hosting a series of free concerts from 6:30-8 p.m. every Thursday through April 1. The concerts will take place near the lodge-style fireplace at the mall’s food court.
The concert lineup is as follows: Feb. 25, Bruce Maier, country; March 4, Jordani, pop/rock band, and featured artists from the Liberty Theater; March 11, Bill Hallett Ensemble, jazz; March 18, The Uptown 4, a capella group; March 25, Creme Tangerine, Beatles cover band; April 1, Peter Adams Jazz Ensemble.
